
The method presented in this application is partially based on my 13-year experience as a language teacher (English and French) in the Dutch military. Military personnel had to be prepared for missions abroad. Time was always limited so the method had to be effective, yielding results quickly.
The method used can best be described as the ‘friend’ method. The student learns from a native speaker friend who gives the student answers to questions like ‘How do I say…..?’ or ‘What should I say when ….?’, making language learning more natural, less of a study.
The application presents 16 lessons, however this will be expanded through input from users of the site, this is what I like to call continuous customisation. The content will be increasingly dictated by users in the hospitality industry.
Due to the effectiveness of this training approach, the desired results will come quicker. This is not an app for language learning, but one for language training with a higher level of customer satisfaction as its ultimate aim.
